In 2023, six former Navy A-6 Intruder aviators and their wives toured North Vietnam. They visited many of the sites they had bombed fifty years earlier, during Operation Linebacker II, to help bring an end to the war. Return of the Intruders is the story of the Intruders’ role in the war, the burden shared by Navy families, reconciliation among former enemies, and the Vietnam that exists today.
